Our Record Management Process Is Easy


DDV will come to you and bring your boxes back to our highly secured, climate controlled warehouse.


Your boxes will be inventoried and assigned a barcode then they will be scanned into a secure location in our warehouse.


We will provide you with an inventory spreadsheet of all of your boxes.  Any time you need a file or a box, give us a call and we will get it to you! It’s that simple!

Retention Dates

Document Destruction of Virginia will also reference a retention date if noted during the inventory process.  Once a box reaches it’s ending retention date, the customer is notified and they can choose to shred the box, return it to them, or keep it on the shelf.  The customer is always in control of their documents.  If shredding is needed, we can handle that with our shredding truck right here at our facility.  The customer will receive a certificate of destruction once that shredding is completed.
